GV II

Dovecote. C18 and earlier with later alterations and additions. Limestone laid
to regular courses. Sandstone quoins. Pyramidal slated roof surmounted by ball
finial and weather-vane behind embattled parapet. 3 stages. Wood door with
4-centred stone surrounds. Remodelled Gothic details including cruciform
arrowslits, an ogee leaded window, and a stone mullioned and transomed window.
Flat band to second stage. Ironstone plinth. Probably brought from Kenilworth
Abbey/Castle and re-erected in Idlicote (VCH).
