10/98 Broben monument, in churchyard
about 18m south of east end of
chancel, Church of St. Ethelbert

GV II

Chest tomb: .... Broben, died 1767: stone. Flat lid with moulded
projecting edge. Sides fielded panel for inscription, ends an
enlarged rectangular baluster, with fluted capital: main 'stem'
has raised circle with sprays of leaves emerging from top and
sweeping down each side, whole containing a foliate urn. Main
inscription weathering: later early C19 inscriptions.
