Houses with shops; possibly all one house originally. Early or
mid C18. Solid rendered front. Slate roof. Chimneypots just
visible behind centre of ridge. 2 storeys; 4-window range. No
49 has mid C19 shop front with pilasters and entablature. No
50 has the left half of a late C19 shop front with large
console terminating entablature; the right-hand half has been
absorbed in an extension of the shop at . Upper-storey windows
have sashes in box-frames. No 49 has a 2-light window with
6-paned sashes to left; single-light window with 8-paned
sashes to right. At No 50 the 2 windows have been lengthened;
both have sashes with margin-panes. Continuous C18 bracketed
eaves-cornice. INTERIOR not inspected.
