GV II

Small farmhouse. C18, roof heightened early C19. Painted
rubble walls with timber lintels, some cob; C20 scantle slate
roof with brick end stacks. L-shaped plan with kitchen/living
room on the left with pantry and stair outshut behind and
parlour on the right. 2 storeys; nearly symmetrical 2-window
range. 4-pane casements to 1st floor over early C19 18-pane
horizontal-sliding sash on the left and 12-pane casement on
the right; C20 planked door. INTERIOR: original features
include: slate floor in kitchen, plank and muntin partitions
and ledged doors. Boxed-in stair may be later as is the roof
structure with pegged collar trusses. Late C19 grate to
parlour within c1800 surround, possibly original or reset.
