GV II

Nine terraced houses. c.1829-1830. Yellow stock bricks set in
Flemish bond with stucco ground-floor and dressings; roof
obscured by parapet; brick party-wall stacks. Side-hall
entrance plan. Three storeys; 2 windows each. Symmetrical
terrace with slightly projecting centre block. Steps rise to
entrance in left bay (nos. 100-102 to right; no. 116 set
back); doorway with 1/4 fluted column jambs carrying
corniced-head, 6-panelled door and elaborate patterned
fanlight. Ground-floor 6/6 round-arched architraved sashes
with curved Gothic-style glazing bars to nos. 110 & 112;
others plain 1/1 sashes. 1st floor stucco sill band and gauged
brick flat arches to 2/2 sashes set in arched recesses linked
by stucco imposts; individual iron balconies with anthemion
and Vitruvian scroll pattern to railings except no. 116 which
has a short 2/2 sash. 2nd floor with gauged brick flat arches
to 2/2 sashes. Parapet with stone coping. Attached iron
railings with ball and disc finials.
