Woodbine Cottage

GV II

Single house. c. 1830. Stucco over brick and exposed brown
stock brick set in Flemish bond. Roof obscured by parapet.
Sidehall entrance with curved staircase. 2 storeys, 2-window
range. Rusticated stucco ground floor with round-arched
openings and radiating heads in imitation voussoirs. Window
with curved and radial glazing bars and margin lights in
panelled recesses. To right, doorway with pilaster jambs
carrying corniced-head, plain fanlight and original 6-panelled
door. 1st floor of exposed brown stock brick with stucco
storey band; square-headed, recessed sash windows with lugged
architraves. Pilasters rising through ground and lst floors
carrying entablature and acroteria. End-wall chimney stacks.
