House. Early C18, remodelled and enlarged in the mid to late C19. Rendered,
probably over stone rubble. Gable-ended scantle-slate roof. Wooden eaves cornice to
front with widely - spaced paired dentils. C19 red-brick stacks, with chamfered
corners and corbelled caps.
Plan: L-plan. Three-room plan early C19 range parellel to road (facing north) with
external end stacks, and wing to rear of right-hand end with integral lateral stack.
Staircase in rear wing to rear of right-hand room. Later C19 and C19 remodelling
including addition of bay windows, porch etc. Short one-storey wing to rear of left-
hand end. Two storeys.
Exterior: Asymmetrical 4-bay front; mid to late C19 margin-light sashes with cills.
Two mid to late C19 ground floor flat-roofed square bays, that to left of 2:3:2
lights and that to right of 3:5:3 lights. Mid to late C19 five-panelled door in
second bay from right (beaded-flush lower panels, central moulded panel with raised
centre and 2 leaded glazed moulded upper panels), moulded architrave and wooden
Tuscan porch with 2 columns, pilasters to rear, frieze and cornice, and panelled
soffit. Rear wing with early C19 twelve-pane glazing bar sash to right-hand side,
lighting staircase.
