Cottage. Probably mid to late C18, altered probably in the early to mid-C19.
Painted stone rubble ground floor and rendered cob to first floor. Gable-ended
scantle-slate roof. Brick stack.
Plan and development: C18 two-room plan with central entrance into right-hand room.
Larger right-hand room with integral end stack and smaller unheated left-hand room
with staircase to rear. Eaves raised at some time, probably in the early to mid C19,
and right-hand gable end rebuilt in stone (see straight joints). Two storeys.
Exterior: Symmetrical 3-bay front; probably C20 two-light small-paned wooden
casements. Central C20 6-panelled door with C19 chamfered frame.
Interior: Right-hand ground-floor room has blocked C18 fireplace with chamfered and
stopped wooden lintel, and window seat. C18 four-panelled door to left-hand room,
with pegged frame. Window seat to left-hand room too.
