Osborne monument in the churchyard
G.V. about 11 metres south of nave of
Church of St. James

Chest tomb. Early C19. Limestone. Flat top with moulded edge, moulded base,
shaped ends east and west with garland of leaves and inscriptions; paired
inscription panels to south with narrow central carved panel, to north paired oval
panels with draped curtains left and right, leaves and central phoenix. To Ann
Osborne, 1808 and other members of the family. One of a pair of Osborne monuments,
the other (q.v.) lies about 2 metres west.
