Cottage. C18 with C20 renovations. Whitewashed rendered cob, some brick to the rear
with thatched roof gabled at ends; end stacks, the left end stack projecting.
2-room plan with heated rooms on either side of a central passage with stairs to the
rear, 2-storey rear addition. The original plan may have been a 2-room plan house
with a central passage with heated room on either side. The rear left room appears
to have been added as a kitchen, possibly when the front rooms were upgraded as
parlours. Thatched 1-room plan addition at right end under lower roofline, hipped at
right end.
2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-window front wiht a central C20 front door under a flat-
roofed C20 porch. Fenestration of circa late C19 4-pane sashes.
Interior The right-hand room has a chamfered cross beam with ogee stops and an open
fireplace with granite jambs and a timber lintel. The fireplace of the left-hand
room is blocked. The rear right room has an open fireplace with a timber lintel,
brick and stone rubble jambs and a brear oven.
