SY 49 SW SYMONDSBURY HIGHER EYPE

Single house in grounds. Early C18. Stone walls, rendered with stone angle-
pilasters. Slate and stone-slate roof with stone gable copings. 2 brick stacks
at left and right gables. 2 storeys. 3 windows, 3 lighters with flat stone
mullions, moulded architrave and classical cornice in one. Moulded stone cills.
Cast iron casements with one horizontal bar. Modillion eaves cornice to whole
facade. Front doorway at centre: stone eared architrave with a projecting
dropped triple-keystone. Plain classical pediment over carried on volute
brackets, continued down as plain pilastersto the stone plinth. Door, wood and
all glass-panelled, C20. Small service-range at north gable end, same materials,
roof and window type. Doorway at north end, similar to front door, though with
a segmental pediment.
