Large farmhouse. There has been a house on this site since the C15. The pre-
sent building appears to have been built in three parts. The east side consists
of three parallel ranges. The north and centre ranges are probably a C16 timber
framed building with red brick infilling in the north wall, the east gable of
the centre range tile-hung and oversailing. The south range is dated inside
at 1625 and was probably built by Edward Pratt, who was Overseer of the Parish
poor-rate in 1620. This is of stone. Casement windows with mullions of cement-
coated red brick, some blocked. Tiled roof to the whole. The west front was
added in 1682 and has this date with the initials P on it. Stone with red brick
dressings and quoins. Tiled roof. Casement windows. Two storeys. Three
windows. The interior has a fireplace with stone shelf, the date 1625 and the
initials E.P., I.P., T.S., also other features.
