GV II
House and attached cottage, formerly the service wing. Early C18 and mid C19.
Dressed stone, Welsh slate roof, old brick chimneys. Double span. 2 storeys,
4 bays. Panelled door with overlight in 3rd bay; flanking late C19 bay windows
with hipped roofs; elsewhere 12-pane sashes in narrow C18 openings. Steeply-
pitched gabled roof with flat coping and kneelers. Corniced end stacks and
ridge stack. Rear span mid C19. 2 storeys, 3 bays with 12-pane sashes in
tooled-and-margined, alternating-block surrounds. Lower left window a C20
insertion.
Interior has early C18 staircase with moulded and ramped handrail, turned
balusters with square knops. Many 2-panel doors with butterfly hinges.
Lower 1 1/2 storey cottage attached to right has central door and 4 windows on
ground floor, all C20 in original openings. One similar window above in gabled
half-dormer.
Steeply-pitched gabled roof with 2 old brick chimneys.
