Hotel. Early and late C18. Brick facade in Flemish bond with ashlar plinth
and quoins; random rubble elsewhere, Welsh slate roof. Double span. 2 storeys,
9 bays. Central doorway with wooden pedimented porch on 4 Tuscan columns;
2-leaf, 6-panel door, overlight with radial glazing bars, 8-pane side lights.
On ground floor 12-pane sashes in architraves; on 1st floor 6-pane sashes in
architraves; ground floor left window is blocked. Steeply-pitched gabled roof
with renewed ridge and end stacks. Rear span has steeper pitch and irregular
fenestration, mainly of 12-pane sashes, also larger 15-pane stair window.
Projecting wing to rear on right return, now the ballroom.
