Terrace house. 1774 by Richard Edwin. Brown brick with stucco dressings and slate
roof. Similar design to No 7. Three storeys,basement and dormered mansard. Three
windows wide. Rusticated ground floor with impost string linking semicircular arched
windows and doorway. Glazing bar sashes to upper floors articulated by giant order of
Ionic pilasters, stucco entablature and balustraded parapet. Plat band and sill
courses. Wrought iron area railings. Part of symmetrical composition balancing the
opposite side of this cul-de-sac approach to Stratford House.
