Circa 1840 Gothicised house. Two storeys and basement, cement rendered.
Band between storeys. Projecting gabled bay to left with saddle stone.
Low pitch hipped slate roof, eaves concealed by parapet. Five windows
articulated, except in gabled bay, by their capped buttresses. First
floor right hand has canted bay of four lights, eaves cornice to hipped
roof, apron. Ground floor of gabled bay has a large rectangular bay
window of five lights mullioned and transomed, lean-to slate roof, narrow
panelled apron. Other windows recessed, mullioned and transomed casements,
larger one of three lights first floor of gabled bay, some with drip
moulds. One of ground floor windows with pointed arched drip mould, blind
tracery in tympanum. Main door, next to gabled bay, set in four centred
arched porch with drip stone on foliate stops. Door has small paired
panels below glazed lights shaped to form arch. Seven steps up. Secondary
entrance, in projecting buttressed bay to West side window. West front has
similar gabled bay to that facing Wood Street and two other windows,
single light casements with drip moulds on foliate stops.
