GV II

Barn, former dovecote. C17 and circa early C19. Brick and
pantile. Half of building in Cl7 English bond brickwork. Former
dovecote square in plan converted into a barn by demolishing one
wall and extending to SE. Opposing cart entrances in C19
extension beneath segmental arch to north. In C17 section one low
blocked opening to north and one original mid-height opening
blocked and one later opening blocked to south. Gable-ends with
tumbling-in. West gable built onto C17 wall. Interior: C17 end
has series of closely-spaced blocked holes which probably
provided fixing for timber nesting boxes. C19 butt-purlin roof.
