C18. 2 storeys and attics in painted brick with Welsh slate roof with 3 brick
stacks and 3 dormers (2 gabled, 1 later). Modillion eaves cornice to left, plain
to right. Stone rusticated quoins. 1st floor has canted late C19 bay to left
and 1 window, hung sashes with glazing bars, stone lintel. Right has 3 windows,
hung sashes with glazing bars, lintels. Shop fronts to ground floor.

No 1, Premises occupied by York County Savings Bank, Nos 2 and 3, White Swan Hotel
and outbuildings, Nos 4 to 7 (consec) form a group with The Bay Horse Public House,
Nos 9 to 11 (consec) and No 14 of which Nos 1, 9 and 14 are of local interest.
