Cruciform church with aisles and crossing tower. Worn ashlar, in uneven courses,
much replaced in C19 when nave was lengthened by 3 western bays. Some C12
masonry around crossing and in bases of tower piers. Early C14 tower and most
of arcades, alternating round and octagonal piers. Similar date for chancel
with curious east windows. Below, 2 tall, 2-light windows and far above a
3-light window with trefoiled heads under a 4-centred arch. C15 king post
roof to chancel and aisle; and a C19 timber nave roof in similar style. C15
south chancel screen. Late Georgian memorials in north chancel wall. Font
dated 1669.
