SS 70 SE CREDITON HAMLETS COPPLESTONE

Cottage. Probably C19. Plastered cob on rubble footings; cob or rubble stacks
topped with brick; thatched roof. 2-room cottage facing south-west with stacks in
end walls. Outshots each end. 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-window front to house of
C19 and C20 casements; 3 lights to ground floor, 2 to first. Central door with C20
gabled, thatched roofed porch. 3 first floor windows have timber-framed thatched
gables over. Interior has plain carpentry. Cob-walled outshot to left has pitched
thatch roof with hipped end. Front wall of outshot now blind but formerly included
door close to house.
