Offices. C16, refronted C19 and further altered late C20.
Brick with plain tiled roof. 2-storeyed, 3-window range,
entered up steps to right. Formerly part of Nos 8 & 9 The
Square (qv). 12-pane sash windows with flat-arched brick heads
all renewed, and 3 dormers in the roof. Dentilled eaves
cornice.
INTERIOR: internal gable walls are stone, fireplace cutting a
blocked doorway with segmental arch with voussoirs in
right-hand gable wall. Queen post and queen strut roof
trusses, and chamfered cross ceiling beams.
Cellars below form part of Hole in the Wall public house,
Shoplatch (qv).
