Part of purpose built Institute. Datestone 1847 in Roman numerals to N.
gable end. Coursed limestone rubble. Now has concrete pantile roof.
Irregular plan form. One storey. N. gable end has 4-light tall window with
stone mullions and high level transom. This is flanked by square-headed,
blind lancets. E. elevation has central stone chimney stack with projecting
two stage gabled porch to N. W. elevation has central shallow projecting
gabled wing with tall, 5-light window. To S. of wing is a small lean-to
porch. This block also has stone gable copings, moulded finials and kneelers.
Also large two stage buttresses to corners and at bay divisions.
