Barn with stables adjoining. Barn C17, stables late C18 or early C19. Unrendered
stone and cob. Corrugated iron roof, gable end to left. Rectangular on plan, barn
of 6 bays with additional lofted bay at left end, stables adjoining to right end.
Barn has opposing doors, double doors to rear, single doorway to front yard side
with C17 chamfered surround flanked by buttresses. Cl7 doorway with one of the
jambs replaced to lofted bay end with ladder access to loft. 3 light timber mullion
windows with diagonally set timber stanchions between at left gable end. Stables to
right has loft door with 4 pigeon holes to right above door flanked by shuttered
square window openings. Five C17 trusses to barn with straight principals with
morticed and tenoned slightly cambered collars and trenched purlins.
