House, now shop. Late C16. Timber-framed with plain tiled
roof. 3 storeys, 2-window range. Projecting inserted late C20
shop front with windows continuing in return elevation to
Grope Lane. Decorative framing over, forming herringbone
pattern, with quatrefoils recessed in horizontal members, and
twisted shafts superimposed on verticals. 2 inserted
full-height windows. Upper storey raised in later C19. Mock
framing in imitation of the original pattern below. Lower rear
wing to Grope Lane, with moulded bressumer and herringbone
studding. Enriched bressumer across rear gable.
