Pair of shops, probably originally a single dwelling. Late C16
with later modifications. Brick with parts of a timber-framed
core, and plain tiled roof. 3 storeys, 2-window range, with
gable facing the street divided laterally by party wall.
Simple inserted shop fronts to ground floor, then 12-pane sash
windows to first floor and 16-pane sashes to 2nd floor, with
flat-arched stuccoed heads. INTERIOR: internal party wall is
timber-framed in large square panels. Possibly originally the
cross wing of a larger building.
