Gate and flankng walls, originally forming part of town walls.
C13. Coursed and squared red sandstone. Pointed and chamfered
arch towards river, with wide chamfered segmental arch on town
side. Buttresses flank the arch on river side, and lengths of
stone wall each side. Above the arch, a later brick wall
approx 1.5m high.
