Pair of shops, originally dwelling. Late C16. Timber-framed,
part-plastered and painted over in imitation timbering, with
plain tiled roof. 2 storeys, main range and cross wing plan,
with through passage in angle. Early C20 shop front inserted
in lower storey of gabled wing to left, which is painted in
quatrefoil and trefoil panels in imitation of decorative
framing. 3-light mullioned and transomed window with ornate
leaded glazing above. Decorated barge-boards with finial. C20
shop front in main range beyond passage entry, and 3-light
mullioned window over. This section has exposed original
timbering, close studding with partial mid rail. Small gabled
dormer in the roof. Side wall stack against cross wing.
