Garden fountain 40 metres
south-east of Renishaw

Garden fountain. C18? Ornate 3-tier fountain stem, set within
a moulded circular basin. Veronese marble. Bell-shaped base to
stem, with projecting rim carrying four mask spouts. Above, a
chalice stem for a mushroom cap second tier incorporating four
grotesque mask spouts. Surmounting the second tier, a small
fruit-laden urn. One of a pair of fountains in the upper garden
level at Renishaw Hall. See also Item 105A.
