Shop and offices. Early C19. Timber-framed and rendered with
slate roof behind plain parapet. Block to rear with plain tile
roof, ground and 1st floors of painted brick and 2nd floor of
painted weatherboarding (elevation to Coach Lane).
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; 2-window range. Front to High Street has
2 plain sash windows on 1st and 2nd floor. Ground floor has
C20 recessed plate-glass shop front and 'jetty' supported on 2
cast-iron columns with mouldings. 1st floor overhang is
probably recollection of jettied Moot Hall which formerly
stood here. The Coach Lane elevation has one sash window with
moulded surround and one vertical glazing bar, on 2nd floor
and mixture of later windows.
INTERIOR: dogleg staircase from 1st to 2nd floors with
column-on-vase balusters and one length of stick balusters.
