Pair of houses, now shop and flats. c1835 with early C20
alterations. Brick with slate roof.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys and 4 bays. The windows to the upper
storeys are glazing bar sashes with brick flat arches and
projecting stone sills. The ground floor has a shopfront which
projects forwards under a flat roof and continues around the
corner to occupy one bay of the right-hand return wall. Above
the shopfront 2 brick arches to former window openings are
visible in the front wall. Chimney at right of ridge. The
right-hand return wall is of 3 bays. The left-hand bay has
blind window recesses to the upper storeys and the right-hand
bay has a similar recess to the ground and 2nd floors. The
central bay has a tall round-headed stair window rising
through the 1st and 2nd floors.
