Shop. c1865. Magnesian limestone ashlar wall with timber
shopfront and slate roof.
EXTERIOR: wall approximately 4 metres high, 10 metres long
with flat coping has inserted chamfered round-arched doorway
at right end. To left, 1-storey gabled bay has shopfront
framed in sunk-panelled pilasters with dentilled cornice on
block brackets with heavy grooved brackets beneath plain
fascia. Shop door is glazed and sunk-panelled with blocked
overlight: altered shop window is of 3 transomed lights over
painted stall riser.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Included for group value as an integral part of the
streetscape on Monkgate.
