GV II*

Wall, gates and gate piers forming south-west boundary of
garden to Gray's Court (qv). Wall and gates c1900, re-using
C17 gate piers. Wall of reused magnesian limestone,
irregularly coursed; ashlar gate piers and cast-iron gates.
Wall approximately 2 metres high has flat coping surmounted by
iron finials. Square-section gate piers are panelled with
moulded bases and cornices beneath shaped flat caps. Double
gates of square section rails supported on fluted cylindrical
posts with ball finials.
