Farmhouse and adjoining barn, now house. C17 farmhouse, C18 barn, modernised and
barn converted in mid C20. Long range facing south-west with 2-room house to left
(north-west) and former barn to right. Rear lateral stack to left room and axial
stack to right room. C19 slate-roofed single storey kitchen added to left end. 2-
storeys, Overall 6-window front of C20 casements with glazing bars irregularly
disposed to former farmhouse. Door at left end with C20 gabled and slate-roofed
hood. Former door to possible through passage now blocked by left of 2 small
windows near barn. Former barn still has slight projecting midstrey walls. Eaves
of barn lower than house. Roof is half-hipped each end. Left room has mid C17
chamfered and scroll-stopped cross-beam and similarly finished oak lintel to rubble
fireplace. Full height cob partitions between rooms and single A-frame oak truss
has C17 dovetail lap-jointed collar. A C17 oak 2-light chamfered mullion window
was removed from cob division between main house and former barn. C18 3-bay barn
roof with pegged lap-jointed collars.
