House with shop. 1836-39, with C20 shopfront. Pink-grey brick
in Flemish bond, rendered on both returns; timber eaves
cornice to slate roof, with brick stack at right end.
EXTERIOR: 4-storey, 2-window front. Shopfront framed in plain
pilasters beneath deep fascia and slight moulded cornice; off
centre glazed and panelled door between plate glass windows
over beaded panel risers. All upper floor windows are 12-pane
sashes with cambered brick arches, those on first and second
floors with painted stone sills, and on third floor over
raised sill band. Third floor windows shorter than those on
lower floors, and small window inserted to left of second
floor. Bold moulded cornice on shaped brackets, with octagonal
bowl rainwater head at left end.
