Description

SS 90 SW THORVERTON CHURCH LANE, Thorverton
8/131 Pump, and curved wall south of
- Golly Cottage and Pine Cottage
GV II
Pump, and enclosure wall. Probably C19. Iron pump in a semi-circular enclousure,
paved with pitched stones and formed by a curved, whitewashed rendered cob wall with
slate coping.
The pump, in working order, formerly supplied Cosycot, Pine Cottage and Golly Cottage
with water.
An interesting survival of a communal water supply associated with a pedestrian court
to the south of Golly and Pine Cottage.
