Description

SS 90 SW CADBURY
8/41 Headstone about 7 metres south east
- of the chancel of the Church of
St Michael and All Angels
GV II
Headstone. Probably late C18. Stone. The top rises as a semi-circular carved.
panel, similar small rounded protrusions to left and right on the shoulders. A good
trumpetting angel is carved in relief above an inscription commemorating Grace
(Philips) (surname partly illegible). Although some of the lettering of the
inscription and of the verse is no longer legible the quality of the lettering and
carving is high.
