C18 front dated 1737 on strap of cast lead rain water pipe to left hand, fine
cast lead rain water head over with cartouche ornament and initials FB. 3
storeys, colour-washed brick. Moulded string at lst and 2nd floor level (painted
stone). Moulded cornice. Slate roof. Front divided into 3 parts by slightly
projecting piers with strings and cornice broken forward and over. 7 heavy
barred windows to upper floors, with heavy moulded stone surrounds. On ground
floor - 2 flat angular bays flanking 6-panel door with plain rectangular fanlight
under C19 cornice hood across centre and left hand of front. Glazing altered.
To right hand large 3-centred arched stable entry with projecting surround
and 1st floor string broken upwards and over, projecting springers and key
block. The windows over this arch are coupled. Secondary door right hand
corner, with one window over on upper floors.

Nos 21 to 24 (consec) and The Black Swan Hotel form a group.
