House, now a restuarant. C16 or C17 with C18 and C19
alterations. Limestone rubble ground floor with timber-framed
1st floor, now rendered and painted; stone slate roof with a
stone ridge and brick stacks to gable ends. 2-unit plan with
right rear wing making L-plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 2-window range. The roof over the range
to the left, more than half the width, pents forward over a
jetty; this has a C18 moulded forward frame to a C19 horned
4/4-pane sash window at eaves level; the jetty is supported by
an early C19 canted bay shop window with 2 rows of 7 panes to
each sash. C20 door to the centre; a C18 horizontal sliding
sash to the right has 3 rows of 5 panes to each sash; above
it, low down on the 1st floor, is a smaller horizonal sash
with 9 panes to each sash. C20 bracketed gutter.
