GV II

House and shop. Mid C19 refronting of a former mid C18 2-unit
cottage, now 2 houses. Painted stucco, continuous slate roof
with rendered stack to left rear gable end. Double-depth plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; each unit one-window range. Moulded
architraves to windows. No.34 to the right has a 4/4-pane sash
window to the 1st floor over a mid C19 shop front with a
moulded cornice to the fascia, 1/2-glazed 4-panel door with
overlight to the left and a shop window to the right of 2 rows
of 5 panes, the panes to the far right canting backward. The
front range of the right return is blank.
The range to the rear has C20 windows and door. No.35 to the
left has C20 windows, a C19 4-panel door to the right and a
truncated stack to the left.
INTERIOR: No.34 includes cob wall between the 2 ranges; the
rear room has a boxed-in crossbeam and the stack rises from
this room. No.35 not inspected.
