Two attached houses. Early C19. Painted stucco, continuous
early C20 diagonally-hung asbestos tile roof with rendered
stacks to left gable end and party walls. Double-depth plans.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with attic to No.25 to the left; each
house 2-window range. C20 windows to the 1st floors.
No.25 has a C20 door set in an early C19 Regency doorcase with
fluted pilasters, a narrow cornice to an entablature with
small raised diamond shapes to the outer ends and a restored
pediment. To the left is a similar architrave with a dentil
cornice to a C20 window (formerly a 6/6-pane sash). To the
right is a similar architrave to a bowed 8/8-pane sash window.
A central C20 attic window is set in a wide gabled
half-dormer, probably early C20.
No.26 has a similar bow window to the left, others are late
C20. The early C19 set-back 6-panel door has raised panels to
the centre and is glazed to the top. The doorcase has sunken
panels to the pilasters and a narrow cornice to the
entablature.
The rear of No.25 has a pitched roof to a square turret at the
north-east corner. The rear of No.26 has a 2-storey outshut.
