Farthings and attached walls and
gate piers

GV II

House. Early/mid C19. Incised stucco, slate roof with rendered
stacks to gable ends. Double-depth plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; symmetrical 3-window range. Late C19
horned 6/6-pane sash windows at eaves level, mid C19 French
windows to the ground floor with margin panes and Gothic
tracery to the overlight. A single-storey entrance to the
right has plain pilasters and raised pediment over double
3-panel doors with moulded panels and roll-moulded stiles.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: a wall with heavy coping attached to the
left at 1st-floor level extends forward for approx 1m, turns
to front the house and sweeps down in steps to meet gate piers
with pyramidal caps approx 2m high in front of the doors. A
pebble path leads to the doors. To the right a rubblestone
wall approx 2m high extends for approx 6m.
