Terrace of 3 houses. c1820s, Nos 7 and 8 altered c1870.
Painted stucco, continuous slate roof with rendered stacks to
the party walls. Double-depth plans.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with attics; each house is 2-window range.
The terrace is articulated by deeply incised Soanian-style
pilasters. No.9 to the left has 6/6-pane sash windows, a door
to the left and a C20 single-storey left wing. Nos 7 and 8
have a continuous dentil eaves cornice, 6/6-pane sash windows
to the 1st floor and c1870 2-light casement windows to the
ground floor with overlights, that to No.8 with interlacing
ogee glazing bars, the casements to No.7 have margin panes.
The c1870 panelled doors have semicircular arches and
fanlights set in Gibbs-style surrounds, the applied
vermiculated blocks are probably Coade stone.
