Milestone erected 1826-1827, Thomas Telford, engineer. Painted limestone, battered rectangle with shallow pointed head. Recessed cast iron plate with raised lettering, "Holyhead 106m", Salop 0m 6F". The milestone is the first on the Holyhead Road.
