Pair of cottages. Part dated 1683 but unreliable as evidence
as re-cut or re-sited. Most of the structure is C18 with later
alterations. Brick with plain tiled hipped roof. 2 storeys and
single-storey and attic. Old School House has doorway to left
and projecting canted bay window with continuous lean-to porch
roof over. Casement windows above of 2 and 3 lights. Nogged
string course continues into Prudence Cottage, which has
central door in gabled porch with 2-light casement windows
each side of it and 2 gabled dormers above. Nogged string
course is cut by porch and there is a possible blocked door to
the left. Right-hand bay is a separate build, and has
dentilled eaves cornice. Renewed datestone with initials I
over RE.
