GV II*

House, now shop. Late C16. Timber-framed with Welsh slate
roof. 2 storeys with high gabled attics, 2-window range.
Inserted shop front occupies entire ground floor. Decorative
framing above in small panels with ogee bracing, quatrefoils
and balustrading. 2 slightly projecting 3-light wood mullioned
and transomed windows, with ornate lead cames to left. Steep
and wide gables, also with decorative framing, and 3-light
mullioned and transomed windows. Enriched barge-boards with
carved figure finials. Dated on a renewed panel at the
junction of the gables, 1598. INTERIOR: said to have painted
ceiling in attic room.
