Pair of shops probably originally dwellings. Late C15 or early
C16. Timber-framed with plain tiled roof. 2 storeys with
attic, 4-window range forming cross gable to left and main
range to right. Framed in square panels with cusped arched and
tension bracing. Close studding in gable apex. Central passage
entry flanked by inserted shop fronts, with door to further
passage to right, and window in possible former doorway to
left. Moulded brackets to slightly jettied upper storey. Upper
windows are 4-light mullions with leaded panes beneath the
gable, renewed casements in main range. 4-light mullioned
window in the gable apex and paired dormers in the roof of the
main range. Rear wall stack.
