Boundary walls, railings and attached outbuilding. 1896.
Probably by WJ Hale, for the Sheffield School Board. Coursed
squared stone with wrought-iron railings and gates. The walls
and railings enclose the school and caretaker's house (qv). In
front of the house, a wall with triangular stone coping and a
small gateway to right. Beyond, on either side, a pair of
rock-faced stone gate piers with moulded ashlar caps and pairs
of gates. Beyond again, to right, outer boundary wall with
triangular stone coping and plain iron railing, approx 120m
long. Behind this, parallel entrance ramp with ornamented iron
railing. Behind the house, wall bordering entrance pathway.
Rear boundary wall has an attached open shed with hipped slate
roof and iron columns.
