Substantial house facing across Spencer Road towards sea. Circa 1830. Two
storeys cement rendered. North front is flanked by pilasters on plinth,
the centre breaks forward in canted bay with pilasters set in stepped return
to wall. Low pitch hipped slate roof concealed by parapet with coping
which with modillion cornice breaks forward over bay. Five windows, three
in bay, recessed, sash on first floor with later glazing bars, French
windows to ground floor, architrave surrounds, moulded sills on consoles
to first floor. Tent roofed verandah to ground floor on cast iron
columns. East entrance front: three windows first floor, two on ground
floor in plain rendered surrounds. Central recessed glazed door, square
fanlight, flanked by paired Doric columns and pilasters supporting
entablature. Two storeyed wing of two windows to South with hipped slate
roof and eaves cornice.
