Circa 1850 to 60. Three storeys faced in stone rubble coursed in imitation
of bricks. Rendered composite pilasters flanking first floor supporting
heavily moulded cornice. Rusticated pilasters flanking second floor,
block cornice and parapet. Centre windows recessed casements with rendered
surrounds. Superimposed bay windows of three casement lights either
side, parapet and cornice breaking forward over them. Interesting Victorian
shop front with heavy Roman Ionic pilasters flanking doorways to East and
West, frieze and, dentil cornice over. Shop front proper with window of
two lights, plate glass, set back behind arcade of three bays with twisted cast
iron columns with foliate capitals and ornate cast iron tracery to spandrels.

No 1 & Nos J to 14 (consec) form a group.
