Cottage. One bay of a C17 timberframed house, extended and reframed in late C18,
restored C20. Front elevation has red brick ground floor in Flemish bond, 1st floor
and all other elevations weatherboard. Hipped peg tiled roof with west side brick
chimneystack. 2 storeys, 2 windows with later penticed extension to rear, at east
end 2 C19 iron casements with slim glazing bars. Gabled brick and weatherboard porch
with panelled door. Eastern bay has wide spine beam and probably Cl7 wall frame
to 1st floor, of square panels with some diagonal tension braces. 1st floor has
C18 brick fireplace with cambered surround.
